The Story behind The Parenting Class
Hello there! I’m Violeta – the mom, researcher, and science communicator behind The Parenting Class.
And this is the story of how I became obsessed with cutting through the noise to find what actually works in parenting.
When I first became pregnant, I felt an overwhelming mix of emotions – excitement, joy, and, if I’m honest, an undercurrent of fear. I wanted to do everything right. But the deeper I looked for answers, the more lost I became.
I read articles that contradicted each other. I listened to confident-sounding experts who never cited a single study. Friends and family all had their own beliefs, passed down like ancient wisdom. And every time I thought I’d found the right answer, I stumbled upon yet another opinion telling me the opposite.
I wondered:
- Is breastfeeding really that much healthier? By how much?
- Will sleep training help or harm my baby? What does the science actually say?
- How much screen time is too much? Where’s the line?
- Can I really boost my baby’s brain development for life? If so, how?
I desperately wanted to do the best for my baby. But how could I – when even the so-called experts couldn’t agree?
The Problem: The Science Was There, But Out of Reach
Then it hit me.
I wasn’t struggling because the research didn’t exist. I was struggling because it was locked behind paywalls, buried in jargon-heavy academic papers, or twisted into clickbait headlines.
And that realization was infuriating.
But here’s the thing – finding answers and simplifying science is what I’ve spent my career doing.
My Background: Turning Research Into Action
Way before becoming a mom, I dedicated my career to translating complex science into real-world solutions. I worked with cities, governments, and global organizations – helping them make evidence-based decisions that actually improved public health.
I worked to tackle issues like climate change, sustainable city design, and air pollution – breaking down the science so that decision-makers could take action.
It was my job to read the studies, compare the data, and turn it into clear, practical strategies.
I knew that good science could change lives.
So when I found myself drowning in conflicting parenting advice, I turned to what I knew best: research.
What I Found Changed Everything

I spent months diving deep into the science of infant feeding, sleep, early brain development, and beyond. And what I discovered was eye-opening:
- Some parenting choices do have a profound, lifelong impact.
- Science gives clear answers on what truly benefits babies—and what’s just a myth.
- Some things matter way less than we’re led to believe (hello, unnecessary stress!).
And most importantly:
The right knowledge doesn’t make parenting harder. It makes it easier.
When you know where to focus your energy, you stop second-guessing every little decision. You feel confident. You trust yourself. And instead of parenting from a place of stress, you parent from a place of calm.
But there was one major problem.
Most parents never get access to this knowledge.
And that is how The Parenting Class was born
That’s why I created The Parenting Class.
I knew I couldn’t keep this information to myself. Parents everywhere deserved the clarity and confidence I had found.
So I took all those hours of research- all the science, all the insights- and distilled it into a course that’s simple, actionable, and based on evidence.
This isn’t about overwhelming you with data. It’s about giving you exactly what you need to make informed parenting decisions- so you can stop second-guessing and start enjoying the journey.
Because knowledge about raising future generations shouldn’t be hidden- it should be shared.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to walk this journey with you.
Love,
Vio
